It could happen anytime, and it comes in many forms.
We all saw how ill prepared we were to handle hurricane Katrina in 2005.
In 2010, we saw the devastation of a 7.0 earthquake in Haiti.
We were horrified as a tsunami washed over Japan in 2011.
But as tragic as these natural disasters are, what you really should fear are man-made disasters.
What am I talking about? Here’s just one example…
Once upon a time, if you owned a Japanese car, you were the laughing stock of the neighborhood.
But between 1948 – 1975, Japanese engineers at Toyota started experimenting on how they made cars. They got better and better at it until Japanese cars became known for their efficiency and reliability.
What Toyota invented was the “Just-In-Time” system. A business model that works like clockwork. It’s as close to perfect as humanely possible. It hates waste. And extra parts (like inventory) are waste.
Customers love it. You put in an order, your product gets made, you get it. Consumers got what they want quickly, businesses only made what was already “sold”.
“Just-In-Time” spread like wildfire through the business world. From management… to fast food… to shipping.
Today, grocery stores only have three days worth of food. Why? Because they want everything to sell quick and fast. They don’t want anything to rot.
And in order for that to happen, there’s a complex behind-the-scenes logistics and supply system. Ships, planes, cargo, harbors and… trucks, fleets and fleets of trucks moving 24/7 on America’s highways.
Now imagine…
What would happen if truckers all decided to go on strike?
It happened in Spain in June of 2008.
They stopped driving on Monday.
By Tuesday, supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations all began to feel the pinch. They were all running out of pork, beef, vegetables, fruits and other goods.
And Just-In-Time isn’t only for how we get our food. It also affects our fuel, medication, electricity and even essential services like police, hospitals and firemen.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with running a “tight ship” so nothing goes to waste. But the problem is, nothing is allowed to go wrong.
There’s no time for “what ifs”.
You have to ask yourself though, “What if things did stopped, even if only for a short time?”
All it takes is for one thing in the system to break down, stop working or quit.
Whenever someone mentions “preppers” or “survivalists”…
The first thing that comes to mind is an image of unshaven hicks with shotguns in the middle of the forest. Maybe you see tin foil hats, too.
If that’s you, I would ask you to wipe that image from your head right now.
Listen, I’m not asking you to build a cabin in the woods and arm it to the teeth…
But if you want to ensure a better, safer, more prosperous future in the coming uncertain times, I can assure you…
If you don’t have the items you need to protect your family, your safety and survival NOW…
Do not expect to get them during an emergency.
And as The Elevation Group has shown its members, there are many signals, warning signs and indicators for a coming collapse and crisis.
It’s not a question of “if”. It’s a question of “when”.
And as members of The Elevation Group have seen first-hand, the ultra-rich themselves are “prepping”.
I was personally surprised as I started to meet and interview with more and more of them. I started to realize I wasn’t “crazy” for doing it myself.
To prepare each and every member of The Elevation Group for disaster, natural, man-made or otherwise…
I took some time to talk to my good friend, David. David grew up in the Midwest, in the middle of the countryside, hours away from the city.
During the winters, he would lose power for 5-7 days at a time. “Prepping” wasn’t something he did because he was afraid of a future apocalypse…
It’s survival, pure and simple.
When the snowstorms hit, stores don’t get restocked.
So David is someone who knows how to hunker down and survive when the trucks stop coming.
I spent about ninety minutes with him to talk about how he prepares for disasters.
He’s got 72-hour plans, two-week plans… and longer-term “bug out” plans.
We focused on the first step each and every Elevation Group member should take: building a 72-hour kit from scratch.
And don’t be fooled by the prepackaged 72-hour kits you see in stores… companies without real emergency experience make them.
Elevation Group members who live in urban environments got a glimpse at a world they rarely see.
They also got a clear list of things to get… along with the right brands, the right types and where exactly to purchase these items.
If you’re not prepared for disaster, it’s important you become an Elevation Group member to see what’s on this list.
What you just read is a small taste of what’s called a “Black Box” strategy. These are wealth strategies the ultra-rich are using today, during our uncertain economic times.
Every month since December 2010, The Elevation Group has committed to hunting down and cracking open these “black box” wealth strategies for its members.
Surprisingly, these strategies are not exclusive to the size of your bank account. They are accessible to nearly anyone regardless of income level and net worth. It is a matter of what you know and who you know.
At The Elevation Group, we show you the “what” and connect you to the “who”.
