As investors, we hear over and over again why saving for your retirement is so important. But… is it?

More from Brian Fouts, CEO and head financial expert with The Elevation Group:

Hey, Brian here and I've got to say something: Retirement is a pile of crap. Retirement is B.S.

Everybody talks about, “Oh, I can't wait to retire! I want to invest. If I could just buy a rental property so I could retire.” But guess what? If that's your destination, what about the journey? Is the journey important? Yes, it is.

The journey is actually the fun. That's where all the stuff happened! I think that's the exciting part. Retirement, that's just the destination, a thing that people think they want to achieve. But guess what? When you're building wealth and having fun on the journey, the destination all of a sudden is not that big a deal because you're having fun. You're living that wealthy life now.

So my point is, is that when you're thinking about investing or buying a business or starting something or learning a new strategy, think about the journey that you're going on and how that's going to shape your life because you want to have fun doing it.

And by the way, I'm in Zion National Park right now with my family traveling for four to five weeks. But I'm living my wealthy life and doing the things that I love. And if you want to learn more about what we do here at The Elevation Group go and click the link below and go ahead and watch a special presentation that we put together, it talks about what we do and how we can actually help you do the same thing.
